Mar. 2 Chocolate Affair

A night of good taste, good fun and chocolate to your heart's content. Take part in the "sweetest" event of the season at the Seamen's Inne Restaurant. Pub Nights

 

Join the rousing camaraderie of a cozy time at Spouter Tavern with a roaring fire and lantern light.  Eat, drink and be merry after your long week at work.  Enjoy a complimentary bottle of beer or glass of wine, a mug of hot soup and hearty bread and try your skill at a 19th century tavern game.  Beer and wine available for purchase as well.  Limit 40 tavern guests; first come first served.  Admission $35.00 (members $30.00)

Spring Garden Symposium

It’s time to start thinking spring gardens, landscaping and harvesting of crops!  Hear garden experts talk each morning and afternoon.  Share your own gardening stories while enjoying a glass of wine paired with a special luncheon based on local fresh produce. The programs are at 10am-3pm at The Seamen’s Inne Restaurant and Pub. Tickets are $100 for the series or $75 for individual programs ($60 members.) 5th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade

The parade begins at the South Parking Lot of Mystic Seaport and ends at Water Street, Historic Downtown Mystic. St. Patrick's Day is not just an Irish Celebration. May Day Parade and Bed Race

Join in the fun in Historic Downtown Mystic with the May Day Parade, followed by the annual May Day Bed Race. The Mystic Garland Dancers perform traditional dances around the May Pole, and the Noank Community Band performs classic tunes to it all.
Located on Main Street & Cottrell Street in Historic Downtown Mystic at 2pm.

Wine & Food Festival

Food, Wine and Live Music!
Join us for a fun filled weekend. As always there is plenty of chilled Stonington Wines & There will be lunches available for purchase from local restaurants and vendors. Admission: FREE

Lobsterfest

The history and location aren't enough New England for you? During Memorial Day Weekend, make a classic New England experience even more so by cracking some claws in our open-air boat shed on the banks of the historic Mystic River. Lobster dinners are prepared and served by the Rotary Club of Mystic, which donates all proceeds to local charities. Located at the Mystic Seaport – regular admission is required, starting at 11am.

June 7-8

Small Craft Weekend

38th Annual Small Craft Weekend
Enthusiasts gather as every type of small boat imaginable bobs and weaves along Mystic Seaport’s waterfront.

Sea Music Festival

The fastest way to improve upon the scenic Mystic Seaport waterfront? Just add music. As in our 29th annual Sea Music Festival, featuring formal concerts by world-famous musicians performing on gleaming decks under billowing sails. Also performing evening concerts.

July 4

Independence Day

Visitors of all ages are invited to join the noontime picnic on the green, which is followed by the 1 p.m. parade through the village and patriotic ceremonies from the bandstand. Linger to hear a concert presented by the Mystic Silver Cornet Band. Engage in a genteel game of croquet in Mr. Thomas Greenman's side yard. Churn ice cream and reap the delicious rewards!  All Independence Day celebrations and activities are included in Mystic Seaport admission. Reservations are not required.

Wine and Food Festival

Rain or Shine, this event will feature live music, wine tasting and wine cellar tours. Local restaurant and food vendors will also be available.

July 26 –27 Antique & Classic Boat Rendezvous Just like any gathering of classic vehicles. But this one just happens to take place on water. 12:30 Sunday, dozens of beautifully restored pre-1963 power and sail boats parade down the Mystic River with their costumed crews. Local food vendors, musicians, and crafters gather on the docks of Stonington to celebrate heroic fisherman and hope for an abundant catch in the upcoming year.

Antique Marine Engine Exposition

The transition from sail to engine power was a momentous event for the maritime industry -- and the world. Experience firsthand as collectors from across the U.S. and Canada show off a humming, steaming display of antique marine engines.

Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center will host a festival full of mushrooms. Educate yourself on different tastes and kinds of mushrooms.

By Land By Sea:
Antique Vehicles at Mystic Seaport

At the turn of the century, commerce depended more than ever before on connections between land and sea. Get up close and personal with the vehicles industry relied on at a dazzling display of authentic cars, trucks and motorcycles from the turn of the century. And, at the end of the day, stay for a truly classic parade.  Ending with a parade throughout the Seaport at 3:00 pm.

Annual Harvest Fest

Our biggest event of the year at Jonathon Eand the best way to celebrate the fall grape harvest in New England. There are gourmet food vendors, local artists and craft vendors, grape stomping contests and more! Live music will include Wicked Peach from 3 to 6pm on Saturday, continuing on Sunday with Village Jammers playing 12 to 3pm and Sugar Daddy playing 3 to 6pm. Free pumpkin painting and hayrides for the kids! Tickets are good for both days. Tickets are $15/adult in advance; $18 at the door and includes a souvenir glass. Under 21 free admission with parent

Chowderfest

A perfect New England combination: cool sea air and hot “chowda”. Enjoy amazing views of the waterfront and enjoy specialty foods prepared and served by local charitable organizations.

Annual Beer Tasting

 

Nautical Nightmares

Beer tasting, food, and music to benefit local Chamber programs.

Experience an eerie evening at Mystic Seaport. Hear tales of New England's historic ghosts, legends and unsolved mysteries. Haunt historic vessels and exhibits, and hear spooky stories of lighthouses and ghost ships. Nautical Nightmares is not recommended for children under seven. Spooky Nature Trail

Roam the nature Center’s trails after dark to find fantastical creatures, cackling witches and shimmering fairies. Trail is for all ages. Trail is self-guided – bring a flashlight.

Mystic Seaport Field Days

House filled with kids for Thanksgiving? Get all that excess energy out at our Field Days, with traditional games on the village green, wagon rides, hot cider and rollicking songs of the sea.

Santa Arrives by Tugboat

Santa Claus arrives in Mystic aboard the Kingston II tugboat. Come meet Santa on the dock of the Mystic River Park. He will greet the crowds and listen to all the children’s holiday wishes. Come enjoy the Christmas carols while waiting for Santa to arrive.

Lantern Light Tours

One of Connecticut's most popular yuletide activities, our Lantern Light Tours take you back with theatrical scenes of Christmas past with horse drawn carriage rides, visits to old St. Nick and rowdy revels in our 19th-century style tavern. These evening dramas sell out fast, so make sure to get your tickets early. Inquire at front desk for tickets or Mystic Seaport.

Mystic Stroll

Stroll the historic street of downtown Mystic and listen to the carolers rejoice in the holiday spirit. Merchants will keep their shops open late so everyone can get ahead start on their holiday shopping, while enjoying hot cider and cookies in the shops.

Community Carol Sing

Get into the joyous spirit of the season at a good old-fashioned carol sing. And not just any carol sing. You'll be backed by a brass quartet, the Mystic Seaport carolers and the beautiful backdrop of the Mystic River. Bring a canned good for a local charity.

Holiday Magic At Mystic Seaport

It's the week after Christmas. The kids are home from school.
What to do? Visit Mystic Seaport and experience Holiday Magic!
Discover the magical heavens under our Planetarium dome. Giggle as you learn a magic trick (or two!), participate in a professional 19th-century magic show and create a holiday treasure.

Westerly First Night

Come enjoy the celebrations of the last night of one year and the first morning of the New Year. Enjoy fun activities through out the night and finish off with fireworks at midnight.
